The hooves cling across the grounds, not unlike the subtle drum of graceful clockwork. They are different and yet the same, those two rhythms that have been keeping pace for centuries. Combine Swiss craftsmanship, French audacity and a big scoop of American flair, and you’ve got a bubbling, dazzling cocktail of elements fit for some truly innovative creativity. For the NYC Polo Classic 12th anniversary event, Hublot and Veuve Clicquot have created a timepiece that embodies elegance and tradition; boldness and vision. A study in balancing the classic with the ground-breaking, Hublot’s Classic Fusion Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic 2019 is the manifestation of luxurious heritage and upbeat innovation.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

A Dazzlement of Heritage and Innovation - The Makings of the Hublot x Veuve Clicquot


Veuve Clicquot is one of those rare brands that successfully marries the old with the new, time and time again. What better match, then, than a young Swiss clockmaker grounded in centuries of workmanship? For our client, Reflex Group, we were tasked with creating an animation that encapsulated the Hublot x Veuve Clicquot partnership in the gorgeous Classic Fusion Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic 2019 timepiece.

Veuve Clicquot’s brand style is unique, and a beautiful extension of the brand’s inherent aim to play with conventions. By analyzing their bottle artwork and previous campaigns we identified the baseline visual style for the animation, and married the story of the Veuve Clicquot x Polo Classic x Hublot event. In an upbeat pace, the finished piece takes the viewer along on a dazzling journey from a polo grass field, to the Manhattan Cityscape and Hublot storefront where the champagne flows before the big live-action reveal of the timepiece.

The finished animation was debuted at the Hublot Store reveal party on 5th Avenue, and served as an introduction for Hublot’s North America president Jean-Françios Sberro and renowned Polo Classic team captain Ignacio Figueras. The timepiece was displayed at the center of a beautiful yellow floral display that further accentuated the Veuve Clicquot brand colors. After the reveal, the party continued with champagne and dinner from world-famous Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. It was an honor for the Moss team to be given the opportunity to contribute to this very special event.
